Mrs. Whiskerson is a sphynx cat famous for her appearance on the television series Friends. Rachel buys Mrs. Whiskerson for $1,000 because she reminds her of her grandma’s sweet sphynx cat. However, this version is anything but sweet, scratching Rachel and leading her to eventually sell her to Gunther for $1,500.

Déjà vu Cat is a cat that appears in the first Matrix movie. Inside the Matrix, a repeated occurrence, or déjà vu happens when the matrix code is altered. In the first movie, Neo sees a black cat walk by, followed by another one in exactly the same way. This tips off the crew that the code at the Lafayette Hotel had been changed and that agents set up a trap.

Buttercup is known as Primrose Everdeen’s cat, which she named due to his muddy yellow coat who matched the bright flower. Buttercup only appears momentarily in the film, when Katniss says she will cook him. In the first movie, he’s black and white but appears orange in the second and third movies. In the book, he is mentioned more and described as a filthy cat which Katniss hates.

Snowbell is known as the Persian cat villain in the Stuart Little movies. Even though in the first movie, he hates having a mouse as his owner, Stuart grows on him and they become friends.

Famous for sitting on Marlon Brando’s lap for the movie’s opening scene, this kitty also made the cut for the movie’s promotional posters and covers. The kitty was a stray found by Francis Ford Coppola on the Paramount lot and was not part of the original script. The reason the cat was used in the movie was later interpreted as representing the hidden claws beneath the Godfather’s warm facade.

Bandit was one of Angela’s many cats. He is best known for the scene when Dwight sets the office on fire to teach his coworkers about fire safety. Angela gets Bandit from her desk drawer, throws him through the ceiling and yells for Oscar to, “Save Bandit!” as Bandit is seen falling through another part of the roof.

Fluffy was the girl’s pet cat that only appeared in the first episode of the Brady Bunch. In the episode the Honeymoon, the boys’ dog is seen chasing the cat around, which causes chaos and distraction. The parents argue and Cindy is seen crying for the cat, but we never see Fluffy again and no explanation is given.

Lucky is known as the Tanner family cat in the television show Alf. Cats are a delicacy on Alf’s planet, Melmac, so Lucky’s life becomes more precarious when Alf comes to live with the Tanner family. However, Alf is warned not to try to eat Lucky. Alf befriends Lucky enough not to make a meal out of him.

Rusty is known as a trained orange tabby who specializes in fetching rare artifacts from unusual places in the 1967 show Mission Impossible. Rusty helps end missions successfully. It is said that 12 cats played Rusty on the show, each one portraying a different talent.

Spot is known as Data’s female orange tabby cat in the 2360s and 2370s. She lived with him during his time aboard the USS Enterprise. Spot helped save the crew of the Enterprise-D when a synthetic T-cell became airborne and infected the crew and the animals. Spot survived the destruction of the Enterprise-D thanks to a chip Data had installed. Spot lived with Data until his death in 2379.

Zazzles is known as one of Sheldon’s 25 cats that he begins to collect after his break up with Amy. His name was going to be Dr. Hermann von Helmholtz, but Sheldon decides to name him Zazzles because he’s too zazzy. In the end, Sheldon gives away all his cats, including Zazzles, with $20 bonus with each cat.

Choupette is a Birman cat and former pet of deceased German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld took every chance to show his devotion and love for Choupette. She was featured in fashion magazine spreads, they traveled the world together, and still to this day, she lives a life of luxury. Choupette has gained internet celeb status, with her own social media following on Instagram and Twitter.

Ollie is Ricky Gervais’ Siamese cat. Ricky is quite the animal lover and activist, and when he was given Ollie as a present, he didn’t hesitate to provide him with a home. Ricky shows off his cat on all his social media, which launched Ollie into celebrity cat stardom.

Purrfect was known as Cee Lo Green’s fluffy white cat on the show The Voice. She gained fame when he would appear with her on his lap, petting her in a Dr. Evil-like style.
